I’ve recently updated my hxdefold library that allows writing scripts for the Defold game engine in Haxe, using Haxe’s Lua target. It’s mostly an extern definition library with 1:1 mapping to the Defold API with a bit of macro magic to make it work with Defold’s script component file convention.
While there’s definitely some room for improvements, I think the library already provides a nice coding experience, so if you fancy writing some Haxe code for a popular 2D game engine - give it a try!
