What version of Haxe used at try.haxe.org? Example with new abstract fields access feature fails: Try Haxe !

Official try-haxe still uses 3.4.
http://try-haxe.mrcdk.com/ allows to choose compiler version from 3.2.1 up to development.

Any plans to update the haxe ppa or is there already a beta ppa?

We will update ppa after Haxe 4 final release.
Meanwhile you can download nightly builds from Haxe git builds
Look for builds with “4.0_bugfix” in their names as it’s the branch, which will be used for the final release.
